Our dear mother and Nana, Lenore “Lee” Moreland left this world to be with the Lord Jesus Christ on February 22, 2018 after a brief illness. She was born on May 20, 1933 in Oakland, CA. To Bert and Roberta Beasley. As a girl she loved riding horses in local parades, and taking trips with her family to Yosemite. She found much comfort as a teen discovering her Catholic faith, in which she was devoted her entire life. She was member of the Daughters of Isabella at St. Anne’s Catholic Church. Lee married her high school sweetheart from Fremont High School, Oakland, Robert Moreland on July 3rd, 1951. She was a wonderful homemaker, and enjoyed attending family events, in which she loved being involved with her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years; Robert Moreland in 2016. Lenore leaves 3 children; Janice Knudson-Sait (Asam), Catherine Woods (David), and Robert Moreland (Sandra), six grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren, her brothers; Robert Beasley (Christine), Ronnie (Carol), and Dennis (Nancy), and many nieces and nephews. Many thanks to the staff and residents at Solstice (formerly the Vintage) senior community residence in Lodi, and also to the staff of the Creekside Skilled Nursing Facilty and Dr. Maria Dizon for the unmatched care and caring which added greatly to our mother’s quality of life during these past few months.
